Compliance, Competence, and Lives Saved

Permit-required confined spaces are among the most dangerous work environments in industry. Atmospheric hazards, engulfment risks, and complicated rescue scenarios mean that workers, attendants, and supervisors must be trained to recognize, evaluate, and control these hazards before entry. OSHA 1910.146 and 1926.1200 require employers to ensure every person involved in confined space work is properly trained for their role.

P3 Safety Solutions has been providing confined space training across Arizona and the Southwest United States since 2014. Our courses are taught by working safety professionals who have led real-world entries — not classroom-only instructors. Whether you need a four-hour awareness session for a single crew or a multi-day entry-with-rescue program for a contractor team, we'll match the course depth to the scope of work your team actually performs.

Our Confined Space Courses

Confined Space Entry Awareness (4 hours)

Entry-level awareness for workers who may encounter permit-required confined spaces but are not the primary entrants. Covers identification of confined and permit-required confined spaces, recognition of common hazards (atmospheric, engulfment, configuration, mechanical), and the chain of responsibility under OSHA's confined space standard. Suitable for new hires, support personnel, and supervisors who oversee work near confined spaces.

OSHA 1910.146, 1926.1200, ANSI Z117, NFPA 350

Entrants, Attendants & Supervisors (8 hours)

The full competent-person course for crews actively working in or around permit-required confined spaces. Attendees learn to evaluate a space and determine whether it is a confined space or a permit-required confined space, apply hazard control methods (ventilation, lockout/tagout, atmospheric monitoring), and execute the specific duties of each role: entrant, attendant, and entry supervisor. Includes a hands-on demonstration of permit-required entry procedures and non-entry rescue of an entrant using retrieval equipment.

OSHA 1910.146, 1926.1200, ANSI Z117, NFPA 350

Confined Space Entry with Rescue (16 hours)

Two-day program that combines the entrant/attendant/supervisor curriculum with hands-on entry rescue training. Attendees rig and operate tripods and davit systems, perform mechanical advantage haul rescues, and conduct simulated entries at our Phoenix Safety Training Center. Recommended for in-house rescue teams and contractors required to provide their own rescue capability.

Built for Crews That Actually Enter Spaces

Our confined space training is used by utilities, telecom contractors, construction firms, water and wastewater operators, manufacturers, and municipal teams across Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, and the wider Southwest. If your scope of work involves vaults, tanks, manholes, silos, pits, ducts, or any space with limited entry and a potential atmospheric or engulfment hazard, your team needs documented confined space training before they go in.

We deliver at our Phoenix Safety Training Center or at your jobsite anywhere in Arizona. Bilingual English/Spanish instruction is available on request.
