Basic Rigging* Delivery: In Person at Phoenix Safety Training Center Duration: 8 Hours Class Size: 16 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: Mastering the art of secure load handling is critical for site safety and operational flow. This program provides an in-depth exploration of basic to intermediate rigging and signaling applications, specifically designed to empower personnel with the skills needed for safe field execution. Participants move beyond basic concepts to learn precise tension calculations, hazard identification, and rigorous prevention techniques that align with modern safety requirements.

Competent Rigger & Capstan Hoist Operator* Delivery: In Person at Phoenix Safety Training Center Duration: 16 Hours Class Size: 10 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: This course offers a blend of theory and practical training, guided by an instructor. Upon finishing the course, participants will earn certification as a Competent Rigger, in line with ANSI A 10.48 standards. The primary goal is to provide telecommunications workers with the necessary skills and equipment for effective rigging and signaling at telecom sites.

Competent Elevated Worker Safety & Rescue Training* (a.k.a. Competent Tower Climber & Rescue) Delivery: In Person at Phoenix Safety Training Center** Duration: 24 Hours Class Size: 10 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: This three-day course is designed to equip workers across industries with the knowledge and skills necessary for competent fall protection, advanced elevated work techniques, and industrial rescue operations.The program meets the NATE CTS (Climber Training Standard) curriculum and aligns with ANSI Z359, OSHA 1910, OSHA 1926, ANSI/ASSP A10.48-2023, and rope access techniques and guidelines, ensuring compliance with the highest safety protocols. Participants will earn a two-year certification upon successful completion, showcasing their expertise in fall protection hazard identification, elevated work, and rescue operations.

Confined Space Entry for Entrants, Attendants & Supervisors (available in Spanish) Delivery: In Person Duration: 4 Hours - Awareness 8 hours - Competent Level Class Size: 24 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: The attendee for this course will be able to evaluate a space to determine if it is classified as a confined space, or a permit required confined space. The methods of hazard control and the roles and responsibilities needed for permit confined space entry. Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO) Delivery: In Person Duration: 4 Hours Class Size: 24 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: Authorized workers performing service or maintenance on machinery and equipment may be exposed to injuries from the unexpected energization, startup of the machinery or equipment, or release of stored energy in the equipment. The Lockout/Tagout standard requires the adoption and implementation of practices and procedures to shut down equipment, isolate it from its energy source(s), and prevent the release of potentially hazardous energy. ES&H Leadership Workshop Delivery: In Person Duration: 8 Hours Class Size: 24 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: The purpose for this group workshop is to establish ES&H leadership abilities for supervisory and management staff. The workshop is designed to provide the participants the tools and techniques used to reduce incidents, behavior-based safety management, and their respective EH&S roles and responsibilities. The primary attendees should include foremen, general foremen, and superintendents. Another non-manual personnel may attend at the direction of their manager.

Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: The class provides understanding of the fall protection requirements and regulations from the OSHA General Industry and Construction Standards. Certificate: 1 year expiration Description: The Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) applies to five distinct groups of employers and their employees. This includes any employees who are exposed, or potentially exposed, to hazardous substances - including hazardous waste - and who are engaged in one of the following operations: clean-up operations, corrective actions for RCRA sites, voluntary clean-up operations, operations involving hazardous waste, and emergency response. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: This class includes learning about many safety related issues, the machine safety features and devices, and the location and function of all warning systems. It also includes the operations and maintenance for the machine you are operating. The attendee will perform practical operation of the equipment in preparation for production.

Heavy Equipment - Skid Steer Delivery: In Person Duration: 4 hours - Refresher 16 hours - Initial Operator Class Size: 4 people per vehicle - 16 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: This course will discuss the design, carrying capacity, operations and safety features of the Skid Steer. This presentation will show variations of the skid steer loaders that are currently used in the industry. The attendee will perform practical operation of the equipment in preparation for production.

Job Hazard Assessment & Evaluation (JHA) Delivery: In Person Duration: 4 hours - Refresher 16 hours - Initial Operator Class Size: 4 people per vehicle - 16 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: This course discusses the importance of site assessments and the Job Hazard Assessment process. Step by step JHA development and understanding of site assessments tool and documents. Based on the principal that all hazards can be identified for the safe and well-being of employees, and the jobsite efficiencies through task assessment.

NFPA 70E - Electrical Safety (2024 Edition Overview) Delivery: In Person Duration: 8 hours Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: This course educates attendees on methods used to identify the shock and arcflash ‘hazards’ and ‘risks’ associated with electrical energy, and work practices to establish an electrically safe work condition (ESWC). “Incident Energy” and “Limits of Approach” on IE labels, or using the arc flash PPE categories method, along with guidance on selection and use of PPE. Application of a LOTO program along with job safety planning and job briefing requirements to reduce the risk(s) of injury or damage to health from electrical hazards. Updates to the NFPA 70E-2024 edition are reviewed as well.

Overhead Crane & Gantry Delivery: In Person Duration: 4 Hours Class Size: 16 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: This four-hour course is tailored for individuals seeking comprehensive knowledge in overhead crane and rigging operations without hands-on practice. It covers a broad range of topics, including responsibilities, inspection and operational tests, crane and rigging safety, and signaling. The emphasis is on theoretical understanding and safety awareness to prevent accidents and ensure efficient crane operations.

Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Delivery: In Person Duration: 4 hours - Refresher 8 hours - Initial Operator Certificate: 3 year expiration Description: The course will identify risks associated with working on, or near, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and assist employers and operators to eliminate, reduce or control PIT hazards in their workplace. Certificate for Initial Operators will only cover the class and type of PIT at the time of evaluation. OSHA 1910.178

Trench & Excavation Safety Delivery: In Person Duration: 4 hours - Awareness / 8 hours - Competent Level Class Size: 24 attendees max. Certificate: 2 year expiration Description: This training course is designed to prepare employees to evaluate hazards related to trenches and excavations, evaluate soil mechanics, and select the appropriate protective system. For Competent Persons authorized by their employers to evaluate and protect excavations from failure. In Person 8-hour course can incorporate live demonstrations or practical setup on site.
